Although dogs are descended from wolves ... the myth of the alpha male pack mentality has recently been debunked by several studies and is implemented in the training methods of Millan's t.v. competitor and fellow dog trainer Victoria Stilwell (of Animal Planet's "It's Me or the Dog").
